Mary Wu likes to make things, whether they be mechanisms, circuits, robots, paintings, ceramics, jewelry, origami, dances, costumes, etc. She has a BS and MS in mechanical engineering, with focuses in mechatronic design, design for persons with disabilities, and biomechanics. Her favorite projects are the ones that combine mechanical design, electronic circuitry, programming, art aesthetics, and social commentary. She loves DIY culture and challenging societal perceptions of disability. Her day job is working as a research engineer for a university lab and she is an active member of Chicago's (post)modern dance community.

Nick Marchuk is an engineer and tinkerer. He envisions a day of hyper-connectivity and lots of blinking LEDs. Nick also enjoys fencing.
